Q: Father is alcoholic and torturing me always physically and mentally

I’m a 19 year old girl. My dad is an alcoholic. I’m the only child. He always wanted a son so he keeps torturing me bcz of that. He abuses me a lot & tortures me physically. Today he pulled my hair n was holding it too tight so inorder is self defence I scratched him with my nails. After that he removed a big sword and came to kill me my mother came in between & got herself injured. I’m scared to live with him now. I want to move out of here. But since my dad has a lot of political contacts I’m scared. What shall I do? Please help me cz this man is mad and can kill me any moment

Why not you take help of Police, if police deny you can approach to Commissioner or any NGO or directly go before magistrate within your area and can make private complaint. you are adult now you can file complaint.



Q: Legal procedure to transfer title & ownership of pagdi property

I have a pagdi house in old Mumbai area, but the house is under my grandfathers name. My grandfather had expired 5 years back, my grandmother is still alive. My grandfather had made a notary agreement for this house in my fathers name. We also have NOC from my 2 uncle. Now we want to transfer of ownership in pagdi system of the house on my father and my name but the landlord says no need u have agreement so let it be. Plz suggest on this. My landlord had done a court case on one of our neighbour as the neighbour did some repair and now the landlord has won the case and court has asked our neighbour so how this is possible? Can landlord create any problem for us. We own this pagdi since 1983. Plz help us understand in simple language

Landlord can't vacate you, because you are legal hair of original tenant, keep ready hairship certificate then we can take further steps to transfer of tenancy to your name. you can registered your tenancy transfer agreement in sub registrar office.



Q: Bought a property with father wants to transfer it through gift deed

me and my father bought a shop 12 years back in sale agreement my name is first and my father's name is 2nd. I am a married daughter of my father .due to financial crisis my father helped me that time for buying shop after that with in 2 years I returned all amount to my father what he has borrowed me now I want ownership of whole shop as I have already paid full amount to my father. he is ready to make gift deed on my name for remaining half of the shop pls tell me process of it I belongs to Hindu religion

its simple procedure draft gift deed and get register in sub registrar office, if property within Maharashtra then you will also exempted from stamp duty. Only Registration charges Rs.200 and stamp duty Rs.200 you need to pay.
