Q: Sent Legal Notice to tech company for selling faulty product.

I had sent a legal notice to a tech company for sending me faulty product and not helping with service. After getting the legal notice the company is trying to compensate me instead of refunding and they are not willing to pay my fees for legal notice as mentioned in legal notice.

Dear Querist,If the amount offered by the company is less than the refund and the amount incurred by you in sending the legal notice, you can press on enhancing the compensation amount by the company.

Q: Refund from coaching Institute

I really need a help. I am a student and enrolled for coaching of CFA, while discussing with the counsellor I asked her that if I have any problem or do not want to continue my money will be refunded? She said yes , paid fees on 7th June and they told me that classes will start from 12th June but classes started from 10th June, 2 classes missed due to them and they have an online portal in which videos is given on the topics but the person who is teaching in the video is teaching wrong methods of calculating the answers. I mailed them talk to them since 20days that I need a refund as your counsellor told me but they are denying that we don’t have a refund policy I visted the office 2 times and mailed them 4-5 times they are not listening to me and not accepting that counsellor said there is refund, Can I take any legal action?

Dear Querist,Yes, you are entitled to initiate civil legal action against the concerned institute, claiming refund as well as compensation. However, a detailed response and way ahead can be chalked out only once the correspondences/mails and other details are gone through.
