Q: Advocate fees payment for matrimonal case

Hi,I am an NRI and hired an advocate to represent me in the court in India for challenging the case transfer filed by wife. I agreed to an amount X with the advocate. I made payment of a percentage of this X amount when vakalatnama was filed by the advocate. On the first hearing the court decided in favor of my wife. My advocate didn't file any petition yet and now asking for me to pay the remaining amount.I wonder what if I don't pay the remaining amount considering the case is closed

Q: Need to File GP Counter petition And Wife Not Working And App U/S 28

Wife has declared that she is unfit to work..going through pyscatryist and other health issues (moch in leg). Making excuses of not working. What can be the course of action that can be taken and also want to file a GP counter case for my minor 3 yr old child and application u/s 28 of dv. What is the matter and is it on excution stage? Yes, The petitioner took the right step by getting the JD property attached in the order. Now if it will be an immovable property, the respected court will auction it and then the money comes out of the action will be awarded to the Decree holder. But the court has to order for an auction to be conducted by appointing local commissioner or through District collector.

Q: I want to know about money transferred in family

As my mother is pensioner and currently I am not earning. She wants to transfer around 60lac of her savings of fd and pension to my account to save tax. Is it valid and do any gift formalities required

-) If your mother transfers the money to you as a gift, it is generally allowed under Indian tax laws. Gifts between close relatives (including parents to children) are exempt from tax.-)If your mother withdraws money from the FD and the interest earned on it exceeds Rs 2.5 lakh in a financial year, she will be subject to tax on that interest income.-)You cannot avoid your mother’s tax liabilities on the interest by transferring the money to your account. The interest is taxed in her hands if it’s her FD.
