I am being subjected to physical and mental abuse by my husband during coronavirus lockdown. Whom should I approach to file a complaint under the Domestic Violence Act?

first of all you should get decent lawyer who have some experience in family matters and tell him all about yourself and about the marriage, tell him each and everything he will by way of online submission , court will hear you online.

Q: My notice period is 60 days, is it ok to give notice period of 30 days

My notice period is 60 days, is it ok to give notice period of 30 days and pay for rest of the 30 day?

yes, its fine but if your employer is in your favor and don't have any problems or loses in thier venture. in accordance to the contract you made it was specifically asked to give 60 days prior notice, although it not generally argued unless employer have some serious issues with you leaving the company

Q: Hi, for marriage registration can rent agreement be given as address p

I am waiting for my divorce decree and planning to get remarried. I want to get married in Delhi but I have rent agreement as my address proof....can I use it as my partner belongs to a different city. Will my rent agreement be given as address proof for marriage registration in Delhi?

your adress proof will sufficient for you and your would be wife will fill her permanent adress in documents from whichever city she belongs to along with may be your would be wife will require a affidavit.

Q: Mental harassment by father and siblings

I am being mentally harassed by my family. I love someone want to get married to that person but family puts constant pressure on me to see other boys. If I don’t see they mentally torture me.I am not able to seek any way. Everyday they create some or the other issue and disrupt my mental peace.They mentally torture me to the extent that I feel like ending my life. I don’t know what to do.

Hifirst of all be calm and make your decisions wisely. Instigating someone to commit suicide is punishable offence under Indian Penal Code. In accordance with indian legal system when a person attains age of 18 years they become adults. it is fully depends on the individual to choose their life partner accordingly .No one can restrict or force anyone to get married against thier will.

Q: Delay from other side in filling first motion

Our mutual consent divorce is finalised. We hv got date for first motion of May,2021. MOU was signed in January but my husband’s family & lawyers purposely delayed in filling first motion though they have withdrawn divorce case (litigation). While filling MOU we did sign an affidavit that whoever will resile will have to pay double the settlement amount to other. Their bail matter is pending & they want me to withdraw my DV case before first motion. Now problem is as they purposely keep delaying matter i have doubt that if I withdraw my DV case they will again delay in giving settlement amount in May or while proceeding for second motion. My question is if i miss my DV date & do not withdraw it before first motion can they refuse to give cheque on first motion stating that did not withdraw my DV case ??? Can they now resile at any point ??? Plz suggest

in your interest it is better as you are currently on heavy position . you can renegotiate the terms and collect your settlement amount first of all because after withdrawing the DV case they can give excuses and can delaye in payment of settlement amount.
