As the property is of ancestral nature, you along with your son have a share in the property. You will have to file a partition suit in the competent civil court claiming your share and your son's share in the property.

You and your son has absolute right in your ancestors property which your father gets from his ancestors. Yes you can file a petition for succession in your ancestoral property for your lawfull part and will get your share on your property and after that will get regular income as well.
