Paid advance money for booking of flat builder sold to someone else

I had purchased a property in Rs. 700000/- in April 1992 and paid Rs. 100000/- against registered banakhat..He require some money and I had paid another Rs. 385000/-. Total Rs. 485000/- . He had made some excuse and not made sale deed up to August 1993 and tried to sale out to some one else.I had taken a stay in 1993. In 1997 He had sold that property to other party and made sale deed. Case is on the final stage and judge asked to submit bank statement 0f 1993. My flat has been collapsed in earthquake and I don't have any record .So advise what I have to do? Contempt appli. is pending.

If it can be shown that a document has been destroyed or lost then the contents of the document may be proved by a copy or by oral testimony. Further, you may also inform the court of any other person, such as the bank, who may be able to produce the relevant records for you.
