Is it legal to sell self owned property of inlaws

My grandfather bought the propery with his retirement money.my grandmother gave the property to my aunty and she further sold it. Is it legal?
You have not disclosed the facts about the property purchased by your grand father either in his name or his wife. If the property was purchased by your grand father in the name of his wife then selling out the property by her is legal but if it was purchased in his own name then all the co sharer are entitled to share under the Rule of Survivorship including his wife.
