In laws want to sell ancestral home what to do

am married since 6 yrs n staying with my husband in malad in his own ancestors house... my in laws both had expired. my husband is the eldest son of the family... my father in law was the eldest son in the family follwed ed by five brother. post hus death all my in laws went separate fir staying n left my hubby n sister in law alone.... my hubby us staying from childhood here after everyone got separate from 12 years he is alone maintaining everything. now they want yo sell this room n get thier shares.. can we do anything for this... we want to stay here.... pls suggest...

They are demanding their share in the property,
You first need to find out weather the property is ancestors or it was a self acquired property, as there any agreement between the brothers, whose name is the share certificate how did it get transferred, was there any will
