16-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
My father had purchased a land of 4.5 Bigha by paying hard earn amount of Rs. 75,000/- in 1998. We have land purchase agreement on Non Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 20/-. My father name was also registered at circle office registry along with seller's name. The seller has died few year ago. Now, seller's wife file a case to vacate the land and district magistrate ask my father to appear before him. Sir, need your legal advice.

If your father has purchased the property through a registered sale deed then the case is in your fathers favor. Your father needs to appear before the court and prove through documentary evidence that you have purchased the land from a rightful owner by paying the amount as mentioned in the sale deed.
