Can landlord evict us if we are living without rent agreement

We have been living in a rented house for past 16 years and its non contractual, we always pay the rent by cash and also pay the rent on time. My question is can the landlord evict us whenever he wants to and what is our rights .

No he can not do so, he is required to provide a notice atleast 2 months prior to the date of eviction. Also, you can file a complaint at the rent controller of your city. And you can also file a case against the said landlord against the said eviction from the premises.
