How can i get back my jewellery from my father in law

my father in law illegally confiscated my jewellry from my wife.,know how can i find it back from there,.know father in law has breaked down relation with me and my wife (daughter) from six months..plz guide me,.how can i prove my jewellry in court becoz it was my ancestrol jewellary so have no receipt of purchase.
It is better you lodge a FIR in the matter and get booked your father in law for the theft of the ancestral jewellery stolen by him. With the interference of police, your father in law may get soft and offer you a settlement.
