Accessed email account of ex company

My friend works in a IT company. He left that company three months ago. After leaving that company he accessed the gmail account of ex- company and copied emails regarding behavior survey of employees in their company and sent them to his friend who was working in the old compan. After it the cyber cell got involved. And my friend came to know about it yesterday. He has been in touch with the company HR and one senior member.y. Their officials got to know that it their I.d was hacked and information was taken.
