Brother filed false criminal case against me he is liable to pay money

I have lend some amount to my brother.when I was is need of that money,i ,along with my wife went to his home to ask.but he complained to police that we tried to kill him. My wife is s govt aided school .after 4years he reopened the case now.he has also complained to AEO.what should I do now.
If you have lend the money by cheque, or through bank transfer, then you should through a lawyer first send him a legal notice thereby seeking recovery of money . Despite the legal notice he fails to return you can file suit for recovery
