How to resign as director from a company

03-Sep-2023 (In Corporate Law)
I am not aware that I was made a director or share holder. I joined as a manager and promoted as business head. Now I see that I hold director post. I do not know whether I will be responsible for the liabilities. I didn't get paid for 2 years hence quit. Kindly advice how to resign as a director and what legal steps I should take to get away from the company. How to find out whether the shares are transferred in my name

You tell me the name of the Company wherein you were working as business head and wherein you doubt you are made a director. I can find out from website whether you are a director / shareholder in that company. Then I will advise how to get out of directorship.

Hi,
Please write to the company regarding this and asked for details within a period of time. If they respond with details or not, you can send in your resignation from the directorship of the company with immediate effect and ask the company to file Form-32 with jurisdictional ROC immediately and to share the said filings to you. For shares, you need to check the charter documents (MoA and AoA) of the company.
