Registration of Will for an elderly bedridden woman

02-Apr-2023 (In Wills / Trusts Law)
An elderly woman who has no children nor husband is planning to give whatever she has saved in the bank to a friend so that her greedy relatives do not get their hands on the money. She wants to register this in a proper willNow, the issue is that she is on bed rest and is unable to go to the office to get all the formalities done. There is no one there to help her with this except one friend who is only available for a day. I have looked up regarding will registration but I would like some insight from the professionals here regarding the following:nn 1. Is it possible to get the will registered without having her go to the Sub-registrar office?nn 2. What will the procedure be like and how long would it take to be completed? Because the friend who is helping her is only available for one day in Kolkata 3. What would be the charges for this?
