Questions on will making in India for Hindus

Does a will require a doctor's certificate? Is it necessary to get the will registered? Can the will be changed once registered? What is the approximate cost of registering a will?

Hello,
A will can be change as many times the person making the will thinks fit, only the last will which will be registered shall be considered as a proper will, yes if you get the Will registered you will be in a better position if incase anything arises in future. And to further secure yourself in future you can opt for probate from the hon’ble high court wherein once you get the probate certificate you will be in a better position.
And yes a doctor certificate is required basically to show the person is fit and fine while making the WILL.

No, the Will doesn't require a Doctor's Certificate. Will is a Legal Document through which Testator can transfer all his legal-properties after his Death through an Executor who makes sure that the Will carries the same effect of testator's desires contained in the last codified Will. Will not need to be mandatorily registered as such
