Procedure to disclose the contents of will
26-May-2023 (In Wills / Trusts Law)
MY MOTHER HAS MADE A WILL BUT DOES NOT REVEAL THE CONTENTS. CAN I ASK HER UNDER LAW TO REVEAL THE CONTENTS ?
This is my response to you:
1. You cannot ask her to reveal the contents;
2. The contents of the Will are as per the whims of the testator;
3. So it is better you ask her the contents in informal manner;
4. Only after the death, the executor will know the contents of the will and he can distribute the property according to the terms of the Will.

As per law, you cannot ask to reveal the contents of your mothers will, until she is alive. After your mothers dies, then only you can ask for the contents of the will.
