Is it mandatory to have an executor for a will ? In case we want to change the executor in a n existing will, what are the steps to be followed ?

It is not mandatory to appoint an executor in a Will. The same can be changed by way of executing a Codocil, or you can opt for a fresh Will. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice as regards the same.

Naming an executor in your Will is not mandatory. When the beneficiaries file for probate,the court shall appoint an executor. As far as changing the executor is concerned, a Codicil to the existing Will can be drawn up to name a different executor. If you have further queries, feel free to reach out.
