How to find out about existing ancestral property

22-May-2023 (In Wills / Trusts Law)
My father in law is having lots of property but not interested to share about the details. He wants to give the property only to his son but not for two daughters. So we need to know how much property does my uncle has and what about the rights of the two daughters. When mother in law was there she used to say about the properties but after mother in law passed now father in law is saying he doesn't have any property please suggest us how to find out

HI
in general, the in laws stay close to the place where properties are located.
You can contact the sub-registrar office and he can help you locating the properties owned by your father in law.
Or else file a partition suit based on the residential address of your father in law with a disclaimer that any further properties owned by your father in law will also be subject matter of partition. that should help you in getting full details of your in law properties.
