Dear Sir / Madam
you can send a notice to person specifying the details of the deal that you had entered into with him. Thereafter you can institute civil suit in appropriate Civil court for recovery of the balance due. Please provide details if anyone was present in whose presence you have carried out deal or received 50 % of your money. For further queries please feel free to approach me.

Without documentary evidence it is difficult to prove that he has taken money from you. Circumstantial evidence such as in that period some transaction has been made or some deals are made by him. If that you can prove , you can give him Legal Notice and have to give some time to him and then you can file summery suit for that.
