This error can be rectified through the execution of a supplementary document called rectification deed. Rectification deed is a document executed between parties to correct a mistake in the principal deed i.e. the property documents in your case. For general mistakes like spelling mistakes, the stamp duty and registration charges are Rs 100 each. All parties to the original deed should jointly execute the rectification deed after mutual consent.

Nothing serious can arise in future owing to this error but if this error can be amended without much trouble now, then it is better to do so.

The property owner is the same person who is making the will and if his property is actually his, then he can pass on the same to whosoever he likes through his will and minor discrepancy in spelling will not come in way. But this said, it is always better to be correct on all aspects if the same can be done without much pain.
