Writ petition listed in Registrars court instead of main supreme ourt

13-Sep-2023 (In Supreme Court Law)
I have filed criminal writ petition in supreme court. My case is listed in Registrar court instead of main court. Is it fair? Does the registrar has same powers and functions of supreme court?

Hi the after notice matters are listed in registrar court .I dont know at what stage your matter is but it is normal practise in the Supreme court of India.Rest detailed opinion can only be given after seeing the paperbook or having the case number

It is completely fair, their are two conditions one. Either your petition is suffering any defects they are not cured or cured but with some delay. Or it is an after notice matter then it is for representation of other parties. Let me know the writ petition no.

When the case is listed before the Registrar, it is for the procedural things that have to be complied in the listed matter before the matter will be taken up by the Hon'ble Court.
The Registrar Court does not have the same powers as the Hon'ble Court have.

You must have filed some applications along with your writ petition. For disposal of those cases first case has been listed in registrar court. After approval of registrar court, the case would be transferred to the main court.

Absolutely not how come Registrar has the same power of that of Supreme court Judge.
It must be listed before the registrar court in want of some procedural aspect. Once that aspect is done, it will be listed before a proper bench for adjudication.
Must be respondents have not filed their counter affidavit etc in your case. Once you will provide the case no of your case, I will be in a better position to tell you as to for what issues the case is listed before the registrar's court.
