Took product on credit and unable to make payment on time

we us to take fmcg product from a shop on credit basis for last one year.now for some financial problems we could not clear due.we need time to clear their dues .shopkeeper threatening us given us a time if u do not paid on that date i will came with peoples on your house for recovery.what necessary step we should take legally at that time.currently we are not in situation to clear his dues

Hi You can go for one time settlement. For which a proposal for same have to sent to the shopkeeper and secondly lodged an FIR on basis of threatening against that shopkeeper.so that afterwards any legal proceedings will not go against you
