Summon from Rashtriya Lok Adalat

I got a summon on plain paper by the Rashtriya Lok Adalat for missing my 2 months' payments on my credit card. This is after multiple conversations with the concerned bank. I am not sure if it is authentic even though a date has been given to appear. The letter is not on the letterhead. The number of the official is not associated with the bank. How do i know if it is actually correct or not?

We can understand your grief To check the authenticity of the document there are several factors based in which it is checked. It is better to share the document so that the it is check. But it does not really happen that false summons are issued. Thank you

genuine Lok Adalat notice is never issued casually on plain paper by private recovery agents. Lok Adalats are organised under the Legal Services Authorities Act through the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) or State Legal Services Authority and notices normally bear the name of the court/DLSA, case or reference number, date, venue and the seal/signature of the authority. To verify authenticity, do not rely on the phone number given in the letter. Instead, visit or contact the District Legal Services Authority or the court complex mentioned in the notice and check whether any matter in your name has been referred to the Lok Adalat. You may also ask your bank in writing whether they have actually referred your account to Lok Adalat and request the reference number. you can show me the paper and I will verify but I will charge 500 as consultation fees
