Sent money to someone by mistake

21-Jan-2023 (In Recovery Law)
I was sending money to my friend but accidentally sent to another person. I have his number and account details. When I contacted bank they said they are unable to reach the customer but I have his number and he is saying he will pay today, tomorrow and delaying it. I have every detail related to transaction and all. What can be done in this case.

If you wish to go legal and if he’s not listening to you then you can always serve him a legal notice and in that notice you can write either refund my money back along with compensation or face legal action. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

The money sent by you by mistake remains your money and he doesn't get any right to it. He has to return it. But if he doesn't return willingly then I'm afraid the only option is to go through courts for such recovery. You can also claim interest for the period he wrongly retained the money despite knowing about the wrong transfer.
