Reply to legal notice sent by me previous employer via a law firm.

17-Jun-2023 (In Recovery Law)
I have received legal notice from my previous employer via a law firm. I notice is regarding non payment of dues before leaving the company. I want to negotiate with the company/ clarify my leaving and non payment. The contact number mentioned in the notice is not reachable. The company has also sent only 3 emails in last 2 years regarding this issue. How should I move forward with this? Send a reply to the notice? Please advise.

The reply to the legal notice has to be sent on the address of the sender and if it has been sent through a lawfirm, you can revert back on the same address. Also amid covid, reply over email can also be sent and is valid in terms of law. Please feel free to contact for any further legal assistance

Thanks

You should definitely send a reply to the said legal notice and as you said that it has been sent by a law firm on behalf of your ex-employer, then in that case you can send the reply directly to the law firm itself. Due to the pandemic, sending legal notice via e-mail will also be admissible by the court of law.

In order to advise you any further, It would require more precise details. Feel free to contact for any further assistance.

Thank you.
