Sir what type of complaint he filed against you? do not worry if date of cheques has been expired, you can file suit for recovery against him for recovery of your money. There is three years time for filing this suit.

You must file a recovery very suit against him. Please join the investigation in police but only after taking the Anticipatory bail. You can file suit for recovery of money within 3 years. Therefore be careful with limitation this time.

Do you have any written agreement or promissory note for the loan amount you lent?
If you have any written receipt or promissory note then you can file a recovery suit.
You have to share certain other details, like about written agreement and any other documentary proof.
