Recovery Of Payment From Borrower

My father gave 7 lakh to a person , after demise of my father we have signed a promissory note from the borrower , borrower has paid 3 lakh rupees in interval of 1 year , but now its been 2 months he has not made any payment , we also have a recent call recording with borrower, in which he clearly agrees , that payment of 4 lakh rupees is pending , what we can do legally , what are the charges?, should we first send a legal notice? , is our case strong?

You can file a money suit for recovery of your payment on the basis of the promissory note. Legal notice can be sent first and it depends on your lawyer and strategy adopted by him. For further details, consult a good lawyer.
