recovery of money from someone who refuses to ever having borrowed

Near about 7 years ago i have given money to a frnd. When i ask him to give my money back then he starts giving me N number of reasons and till now he has not returned me a single money..... I had talked with his mother she directly said me that u have not given money to me, you have given money to my son... So plz stop asking me about money ask him about money.... And she also said that i you again messaged me or called me for money then i will fire an complaint against you in police station... So now tell me as per your experience what should i do further to get my money with 7 year's interest back......

Firstly, Call the person and ask him politely to return the money and say you are in grave need and require money urgently. (Record this call) Ensure he is not aware of such recording and admits he has borrowed the amount. Secondly, Hire the services of the Advocate and send him a legal notice to return the borrowed amount and on non-compliance he shall be liable to legal action. Based on the reply, if he denies file a NC [normal complaint] and press charges against him. Now you have an evidence of money being borrowed.

Without proper record you can't claim anything.
