Recovery of loan amount from My friend

my friend took 5 lakhs from me and he is not returning back, i have a signed promisary note and a cheque with his signature and without date. He is currently in out of country but his parents and property are in India (hyderabad). So what is the possibility of recovering the amount.

hi if you have promissory note with you then you could file a civil suit for recovery of money and if you have cheque in your favour then you could deposit in bank and could file a cheque bounce case in court
