RE : Harassment calls from bank
17-Dec-2023 (In Recovery Law)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am holder of ICICI credit card for over 7 years and have made on time payments of dues every month. Approx dues per month = 2-4Lakhs
Post covid, we have been facing a financial crisis and the over due amount on my credit card is Rs.3,85,000/- on which per month heavy interest is put. i Have been paying minimum due amount every month and have also deposited 1,20,000 recently and now the over due is 2,60,000 approx.
Employee of icici bank calls me over 10 times a day and uses bad language and tries to threaten me. He also took out phone numbers which are not related to this account of my family members and started harassing them. I am in constant touch with the manager of the division thru email and have repeatedly complained of the same. The manager even acknowledge the fault but no action is taken and he repeats what is done again n again. What legal action can be taken and i would like to appoint a lawyer to handle the same.
thank you
Harassment by the banks and other financial issues have increased after lockdown, despite there being numerous guidelines of the RBI and the directions of the Supreme Court that the financial crisis owing to covid needs to be registered by these institutes and restricting of loan and arrears shall be given. In your case, you can file a complaint against the bank agents for harassment and intimidation and also for defamation. Moreover we can send a legal notice to the bank for the same. For any further legal assistance please feel free to contact
Thanks

Dear Mam,
You can write a complaint to the bank division manager regarding the harrassment the person is doing with you over the phone calls. And ask the action to be taken against him. I know that you have been in touch but since you are writing them this has to be done in a different way so that further action can be taken against them.
We can take legal action against them but before we initiate we must acknowledge what mails you have sent to them.
You can contact me as well to have a brief discussion over this.
Thank you.
