Need legal assistance on Recovery of amount

22-Sep-2023 (In Recovery Law)
Hi, "A" gave money to "B" to invest in property and make a profit. "B" then gave money to "C," who lacked a bank account, so "D" (C's friend) received the cheque from "B" without "B" knowing "D." Later, "C" instructed "D" to withdraw the money as per "B's" instructions. "C" vanished with the money, leaving "A" and "B" seeking reimbursement from "D." No prior interaction occurred between "D," "A," or "B." Is "D" legally liable? "D" never met "B" when the cheque was issued."C" collected cheque.
