Money recovery from a builder due to non delivery of a project

18-Nov-2024 (In Recovery Law)
I had paid the advance amount to a builder by a cheque for a flat in a project he was about to start. We do not have the agreement but have the cheque details paid to him. But the project did not start and we waited for more than 8 years. Is it possible to take money from him.

Well, you can lodge a Complaint before RERA to seek repayment of whole investment made by you along with interest in that particular Project or else you keep on receiving interest until and unless you get possession of the flat/shop in which you have made your investment.
