Money given to a friend online. How to recover ?

26-Apr-2023 (In Recovery Law)
Do I have a real chance of getting my money back from a friend who is not giving it back. I donot have anything else except whatsapp chat that he ows me the money and is saying to give it back (but is not actually). I transferred the money online to his account and he repaid only first few installments. Rest is all pending with him. Now, he seldom replies. Please advice. Can I file an FIR against him?

You have enough proof that you paid him online as your bank account statement would reflect the same. First of all give him a demand notice through an advocate calling upon him to pay the amount in a period of time say 15 days or face legal proceedings. Then if he fails to pay the same in the stipulated time you can file a money recovery suit against him in the civil court. And don't forget to preserve the what's app chat with the phone instrument as that is a crucial evidence.

Yes, You can recover your money from your friend on the basis of your account statement and his acceptance on whtsapp chat. Provided that the last said acceptance is not more than 3 years back. You can also file a FIR against him and you can also file a civil suit for recovery. Kindly book a consultancy call for any further clarification.
