Loan rejected due to spelling mistake in stamp used in sale deed

07-Aug-2023 (In Recovery Law)
Hi Experts, I purchased my home 2 years back. In the e-stamp duty certificate, my name has a spelling mistake. Instead of 'Bipin' its typed as 'Vipin'. The rest of the sale deed pages have the correct name as 'Bipin'. Now I am trying to transfer my home loan to another bank and they are not sanctioning the loan because of that spelling error in stamp. So I wanted to know is it really a legal reason to reject the loan application? and how to resolve this issue ? Thanks, Bipin

Dear Client, You should file an application before Registrar. If they denied, then approach the High Court for direction its a only way to resolve your issue amicably and also ask to bank what exactly they want.
