You should immediately issue a written notice to the lender by registered post clearly stating the total amount already repaid, withdrawal of consent to misuse blank cheques, and disputing the alleged outstanding amount. Retain proof of all repayments. If the lender threatens or forces for notary or additional signatures, you may lodge a police complaint for criminal intimidation and attempt to extort money. The lender’s claim will not stand in court without proper accounts, and you have strong grounds that the alleged amount is inflated and unreasonable. Do not sign any fresh document under pressure.
