Legal procedure to file case against person ran away with money

a person cheated us to give us job and he ran away with our money we filed a complaint against them and that case was filed and after 6 years we now recevied a warrent asking us to attend to court but after this long we are not interested to spend our time on this case any more.. what should we do? Is there any legal problems if we dont appear to court?

Yes, if you have filed a complaint and warrant for appearance is issued, you have to appear before court. But after appearing you can file an application for not continuing the case before magistrate, and the case would be closed. Affidavit of complainant has to be filed along with the applcation
