Recovery will depend on whether you have proof of pledge . Normally Pan brokers have the right to auction n pledged items if the loan is not cleared within time . After 10 years the limitation for filing a simple recovery suit is already crossed . You can issue illegal notice to the pan broker demanding return of jewellery . If he refuses to give you your jewellery, you can file a civil recovery suit and also a criminal complaint for cheating of trust . Limitation maybe raised . So you must plead continuing the cause of action .

Since 10 years have passed and the pawnbroker did not give you notice before selling, this becomes an illegal sale and amounts to criminal breach of trust and also a deficiency in service/unfair trade practice under Consumer Protection Act , approach us we will help you
