Interior designer not refunding my booking amount

Hi All,nI have paid around 1.8 lakhs to a branded interior design company and due to various reason like misleading us by assigning local carpenters for measurement etc, poor designers ,laid back approach we asked them for refund . But they are refusing to pay our hard earned money . We were never told about no refund policy which they are claiming now. No work has started yet and we are requesting them for refund but they are forcing us to give work to them by not refunding our money ..please help .

Well, If they have not made you aware about the Refund Policy, then you can lodge a Criminal Case against them with immediate effect under Sec 420 of the IPC, 1860. You can also file a Complaint under the charge of Criminal Breach of Trust as you have trusted on their Brand
