I'm a part-time teacher and one of my students didn't pay my fees for seven months (3500). After paying a partial amount (2000), the student blocked me and didn't return my money. What should I do? As legal proof, I have only WhatsApp chats. What can I do? I tried with other numbers to contact her but she also blocked that numbers also. we both are from Delhi.

If she’s not listening to you then you can always serve her a legal notice and in that notice you can write either refund my money back along with compensation or face legal action. And if want to go legal then you can forward a written complaint to the police station of your area. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

We can file a mediation application in court so she will get notice from court's mediation centre, this is the most cost efficient way to recover since filing a case may not be cost efficient unless recoverable amount is large enough.
