How to Recover money when the person is missing

Yr 2013 I gave bearer cheque of 60000 to my neighbour name as advance for purchasing his used car, after withdrawal cash he escaped on contact mobile he said due to urgent property matter he came to village and promised he will come but till date not returned,in this situation what can I do? Pls suggest me.thanks
Dear Client,
In the said scenario, give instruction to your banker to block the said cheque. Post which, send one notice by post/email to him to return the said cheque as payment is already done in cash.
Now is we wants to take undue benefit of the same, he may deposit the said cheque in bank for encasement by the said cheque will get bounced. If he files case you can very well defend your side before the Court.
To take more precautions, you can file police complaint against that friend. Police will mediate and will help you get your cheque back.
