How to go about Recovering money from a previous office colleague ?

My former office colleague has taken money from me citing parents medical expenses and similar reasons. The amount has grown to 12 lakh. She has taken on pretext of returning. I too gave because she called me a brother , and she earns very good salary. But after i changed my job in last december and no more work in same office, she has grown arrogant and not retuning me any money. All amounts were bank transfers from my account to hers. What are my options since she seems to b very arrogant to even respond to SMS.
You can send him a legal notice for the same, after sending the same you can file a civil suit for recovery in the jurisdictional civil court.

You can file recovery suit against her in the civil court with providing details of payment made to her and statement of account . You have to issue legal notice to pay the amount . Contact me for better opinion
