How to deal with husbands hidden debts

05-Jun-2023 (In Recovery Law)
Sir, This is about my friend, a married hindu women living in . Her husband has been working in for last 10 years but out of nowhere he dropped in suddenly only to inform her he is under severe debt. She refuse to help both because of her own financial condition and bitter relationship between them. However, things took an ugly turn as creditors which include his personal friends and some common friends now harassing her for recovery and threatening repossession of her home legally. The house initially owned jointly by her and her husband but later transferred in her name( she is the sole owner now). Can they do this and now that her husband has walked away from her life ( not divorced) what should be her future course of action? She had no idea about her husband's debts. Please help

As per the facts specified by you, your friend has a good title on property and nobody can take possession if she alone is owner of the same.
Kindly note everything depends upon the chronology of events and documents in hand. Proper advise can be given after referring the same.
