How can i recover the money given to my friend for business

Hi, I have given some money to my Friend when he was with me in a business. Now i lost my business . i asked him for the money i have given him. but he is telling me that it was his salary and he will not return it.i dont have any proof of giving him money, but i have transferred him money through my account/net banking. So can i file a case against him? Or any other Legal way to proceed?
When you give the money to him? 3 year is the limitation period ,So ask him to return the money before expiration of 3 year.If you are giving the money through bank it will help you .But you have to prove the transaction and he borrowed from you.So make other evidence substantiate your version that he borrowed the money from you.
