Friend not returning money

I have given 12 lakhs( 4lakhs online remaining in cash) to my friend for property dealings And make the on demand pro note and received the signed cheque…he promised me to return the amount in 2months with profit but till now 8 months over he is not returning my amount …i have gone to his house demanded to return my amount .and he is threatening me he will give complain through his wife to police if i call or come to His house…please tell what can i do
Hi, you have given the money as hand loan on the interest for two months and your friend is not returning money after laugh of eight months and on demand of the capital your friend is threatening you to implicate you in false cases involving his wife illegally to lodge FIR against you. This is the case of threatening so you should give the police information of this all conversation and sent him a legal notice, stating or demanding you said money. And also present the cheque in the bank, if cheque bounce file case against him
