Failed to pay amount according to promissory note

Sir, last year when the rates of apple boxes from kashmir became low, the apple firm I had contract with, forced me to sign a promissory note in their favour which I did as I had no other way that time now this year I can't pay them the due amount back as my monthly income is only 6 thousand and i have to take care of 5 family members also I don't have any assets other than my house which u can sell to repay them! Now they are forcing me to replay the amount. What should I do

seek time and this is the way to bargain, else wait for their legal notice and then their case , then apprise the court with the facts and situation , hire a legal aid lawyer for pre negotiation befor cases.
