Contractor left by taking advance for construction of house

The construction of house was given with per sq feet for complete house .But the contractor left by completing just 15% work against that the advance taken is of about 25 % work completed . Left without reason and also not refunding the balance extra money taken

Based on the facts provided, the client appears to have a civil claim against the contractor for breach of contract, recovery of excess payment, and damages. If there is evidence that the contractor intentionally induced payment with fraudulent intent from the beginning, a criminal complaint for cheating may also be considered, depending on the facts.

Please first share the Agreement/Purchase Order/Work Order issued to the contractor, along with payment receipts, invoices, bills, estimates and correspondence. If the contractor has abandoned the work after completing only 15% despite receiving approximately 25% of the agreed consideration, a legal notice can be issued calling upon him to refund the excess amount received and compensate for losses/damages caused by the breach. The available contractual and civil remedies can then be considered based on the documents executed

give a legal notice for it to him and ask for a refund if he is still not giving you the refund file a criminal complaint against him for punishment and civil suit for recovery of your money if he is still not giving or coming get a judgement and execute the decree of recovery on the person
