Cancelling admission related issue in a private institute,

So there this coaching my parents told me to join it for few months and decide to continue only if I want to, so we chose to pay fees in installment , for that they said to setup an emi or give advance checks , we chose the checks option, 3 months have passed,i didnt find the coaching good enough,they have blocked my online portal to access since last 2 month . But now I don't want to continue it already payed half (40k),am i forced to pay the rest of it too if I cancel my admission

get stop payment on your cheque and give them a written application and notice for refund of money in accordance with the refund policy. post that file a case with consumer forum for deficiency in services and claim refund
