Can lender's wife ask for the loan amount from the borrower

24-Jan-2023 (In Recovery Law)
Hi Due to some emergency I barrowed 3lakhs from my father in law by agreeing to pay interest and failing he can take my property signed in estamp, initially I used to pay interest later my wife spoke to him and convinced him over phone not to take both interest and principal amount. Recently in-law got married second wife after he divorced my mother in law and down the line he also passed away. Now the original paper is still with him. Can second claim that asking to pay it? It's happened in 2014

Hi, Second wife can only claim if her name present on the legal heir ( only in case, if their marriage legally valid ) and first wife legally divorced. Even if second wife try to claim but you can find legal remedy to this problem. You can approach a local lawyer.

The transaction is a family transaction and not a money transaction and your wife is also a share holder in the property of your in-laws, so the 2nd wife even take steps against you that will not successful unless and until your wife is behind with you.
