If you genuinely intend to repay, there is no criminal liability. Keep money ready, document your intent in writing and cooperate if inquiry arises. Absence of lender doesn’t make you guilty unless dishonest intent is proved.

Police complaint (NC / Missing + Cheating angle) Go to local police station File a written complaint Mention: Amount given Date Last contact Now absconding Police may register: NC (Non-Cognizable) or Cheating / breach of trust (if intention looks fraudulent)

Receiving ₹7 lakh as a loan is not an offence in law, particularly when there was no dishonest intention at the time of the transaction and there is readiness to repay. The lender being missing does not create criminal liability by itself, and even if the transaction is confirmed during investigation, it only establishes a loan, not cheating or breach of trust. Maintaining proof of your willingness to repay and cooperating with any inquiry is sufficient to protect your legal position.
